LPX & Kali Hart

May 3rd - May 18th 2025

Let us introduce you to the Queens of Color:
LPX & Kali Hart. We brought them together to compare and contrast their individual points of view on the abstract use of color and shape.

Learn to love maximalism as they guide you through a technicolor dream full of geometric shapes and abstract paint strokes.

  • Get to know LPX

LPX is the moniker of Lizzy Plapinger, a multimedia artist originally from London, England and currently living and working out of Brooklyn, New York. Most well known for her music as both LPX and MS MR, as well as the co-founder of Neon Gold Records (Charli XCX, Haim, Marina, Tove Lo, etc), her 2023 show at Rockefeller Center marked the gallery debut of her visual art. She recently had her first solo show “Chroma Chords,” a collection of abstract musical scores, at Everythings Fine Gallery in Manhattan in November 2024. Whether in music, performance, visual art, or design, her signature playful “pantone punk” style—an aesthetic ideology rooted in joy rebellion—is consistent across all mediums. This newest body of work created for Skewville Presents Gallery is her first conscious foray into an expanded belief of the same ideology, called prismatic phenomenology.

  • Get to know Kali Hart

Kali Hart’s influences range from the feminine curves of Art Nuevo to the unfiltered grit of NYC street art. She received her BA in Fine Art with a minor in Art History from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and went on to get her MFA in Fashion Design in San Francisco. Her artistic endeavors have varied throughout the years, from wearable art to window dressing. In 2023 Hart returned to her love for abstract painting, exhibiting her work down in Miami during Art Basel and in a handful of galleries here in NYC.
